To whom it may concern,
Last spring, I decided to buy a reliable auto which I can comfortably drive for many years. In this regard I made a comprehensive research with various test drives for three months to compare nearly all available C Segment cars in the market. After all, I ended with Golf. This decision meant a lot to me as I had to sacrifice total value of my annual salary and wait three months for the order. I have been joyfully driving my Golf for about one year and it’s already been like one of the family. But in the same time I would like to take this opportunity to say that I had experienced times rather than quality, comfort and efficiency. In fact, I had to change the steering wheel due to deformation just in the first month before reaching 2000 km (Item code: 5G0419091DLE74). Still, it doesn’t feel like the original steering wheel considering sense of touch. After then within the first year just having mileage of 18000 km (Item code: 0AM198140L). I consulted to authorized service due to screeching noise occurring gear shifting. Unfortunately clutch kit was replaced with new one. In addition to all these above, I hear a drilling noise when I happen to push throttle pedal during ignition period of engine start-stop. As it is rarely happening issue, it couldn’t be diagnosed during service test drives. Therefore no further action was taken so far but this abnormal sound is turning into an anxious wait.
I cannot say that this period, which I try to explain above, disinclined me from my Golf. In contrast, I am planning to continue using it for long years under warranty coverage. I am satisfied with the attitude of authorized service as well as actions taken under warranty conditions.
Last but not least, it has been a disheartening first year for my beloved car. I have to admit that I find all the statements irrelevant made by respective persons such as “it’s a matter of chance, give it away, rather the value of car increased” from my point of, both educational and personal, view. Besides having this kind of service record relatively affects second hand value of my car where I leave it all to your discretion.
